How do I schedule an exam session?

Can I cancel and/or reschedule my certification workshop?

Yes, simply contact NDFHA to make new arrangements. A rescheduling fee may apply.

What type of identification must I bring to the certification workshop?

Candidates are required to present two forms of identification; one must be a government issued “photo” ID from the Primary Identification list below. All other forms of ID must be valid and not expired.

What is a Primary Identification?

PassportGovernment (Local, State, Province or Country) issued driver’s license or identification card

What is a Secondary Identification?

Bank debit or credit card

Employee Identification card

When will I receive my score reports?

The NDFHA certifying officials will mail test scores results within 4 weeks from the date of the test.

Is NDFHA certification the same as NDFHA membership?

No, NDFHA certification and membership are separate, with a wallet card and number for each one. Certification must be renewed every three years while membership is renewed annually (optional).

Can I receive NDFHA CEUs for CPR and First Aid Certifications?

Yes. CPR and First Aid Certifications qualify you for 2 NDFHA CEUs. If both certifications are combined on one card you will receive 3 CEUs. First Aid alone will not satisfy our CPR/AED requirement. 

I passed a certification workshop from another organization; do I get CEUs from the other organization’s exam?

No. You do not earn CEUs for taking another organization’s workshop.  

What happens after I register for the certification workshop? 

You will receive a certification workshop package that will include the registered certification workshop, book, receipt, admission ticket, and testing information. Please make sure to bring your admission ticket for entry on workshop day, along with an official government-issued ID with photo and signature. The name on your ID must match the name on your certification workshop registration. You will not be able to participate for the certification workshop without it.


 

What if I need to reschedule? 

You may reschedule your NDFHA certification workshop up to 24 hours EST the day before your certification workshop date for a rescheduling fee of $50.  Candidates that “no show” and do not reschedule prior to that deadline will be subject to first-time certification workshop fees for a new workshop date.

To reschedule, call NDFHA (302) 475-6472. You are only eligible to reschedule once. Once your new desired certification workshop date, location and time have been approved, you’ll receive an e-mail notification instructing you to download and print your workshop admission ticket.

Exceptions to the reschedule fee will be considered on a case-by-case basis for documented serious illness, bereavement, natural disaster and other emergencies. In these instances, candidates must contact NDFHA Certification Workshop Registration prior to the day of their certification workshop and provide supporting documentation. What if I need to cancel? 

Refunds cannot be provided once a certification workshop has been taken or for workshops that have already been rescheduled.  If you registered for your certification workshop within 30 days of the workshop date, your must reschedule, as cancellations within 30 days will not be refunded. certification workshop must be taken within 6 months from the original date of purchase.
